Supported Accommodation
Birch House Supported Accommodation offers safe, structured living environments for vulnerable young people aged 16–18. The service is designed to support the transition to independence through tailored, person-centred care plans.
About Birch House
Birch House provides high-quality supported accommodation for young people aged 16–18 transitioning towards independent living. The service offers a safe, structured, and supportive environment tailored to individuals with a range of needs, including those with complex backgrounds or vulnerabilities.
The provision includes fully furnished accommodation within a shared setting, with staff available onsite to deliver planned support and respond to emerging needs. A key focus is on developing practical life skills such as budgeting, cooking, maintaining a tenancy, and accessing education, employment, or training.
Young people benefit from structured support plans, regular keywork sessions, and multi-agency collaboration to ensure holistic care. Safeguarding, risk management, and emotional wellbeing are central to the service, with staff trained to support individuals in building resilience, improving decision-making, and progressing towards independence.
Birch House aims to provide a stable and nurturing environment that promotes positive outcomes, enabling young people to transition safely and confidently into adulthood.

Support Packages
Birch House support staff provide 1:1 support sessions for all young people within our service. Staff use ASDAN accredited Moving On course as the basic foundation of the support package, to equip all young people with the knowledge and skills they need to ‘move on’ to living independently. Staff also offer additional specialised support in topics such as Drugs, Alcohol and CCE to name a few.
